Mustard Fish Curry


Ingredients

4 pieces Rohu fish

1 ½ tsp Turmeric Powder

1 tsp Red chilli powder

3 tbsp Vegetable Oil

1 tsp Fenugreek seeds

2 tsp Mustard seeds

2 Garlic cloves

2 Black cardamom

1 Onion

1 tsp Coriander powder

1 tsp Garam masala

1 Green Chilli

Salt

Preparation

Wash fish, pat dry with paper towels. Mix garam masala, coriander, turmeric and red chilli powder along with salt and marinate.

Heat a pan over medium flame and add oil. Add marinated fish pieces and fry till they turn brown from all sides and well cooked. Transfer to a large bowl.

Mix fenugreek seeds, mustard seeds, garlic cloves and black cardamoms in a grinder and grind to make a smooth paste.

Pour oil in a pan over medium flame, add the ground masala paste, garam masala, chopped onions and suate it. Add a little water and fried fish pieces and simmer for 3-4 minutes over medium flame.

Sprinkle lime juice on top of it and remove from flame. Transfer it to a serving dish and garnish with sliced green chillies.
